As the season ripens toward the summer solstice and festive days, tamariki aged 5–12 are invited to create beautiful Christmas decorations inspired entirely by nature. We’ll begin by wandering through the garden, gathering flowers, herbs, seed heads, vines, and branches — everything we need to craft meaningful festive pieces.
Together, tamariki will create:
Nature deco hangers
Handmade candle holders
Christmas wreaths woven from garden vines
Small natural ornaments and festive treasures
We open with a simple circle for gratitude and a short moment of mindfulness to help children arrive and connect with the living garden. Through hands-on creativity and gentle guidance, they’ll learn how the land offers everything needed to make heartfelt gifts — discovering that generosity grows from connection with nature.

Our youngest tamariki are warmly invited to a gentle Christmas nature crafting session, supported by a caregiver. This is a soft, sensory-based exploration where children can discover colour, scent, and texture while making simple festive treasures from natural materials.
Together, we will create:
Mini nature deco hangers
Small candle holders (safe, guided versions)
Tiny wreaths or wreath rings made from soft vines and herbs
We begin with a simple song and a calming breath, helping little ones settle and connect with the garden. The focus is on play, exploration, and joy — allowing tamariki to experience the magic of giving through nature and to bring home their own little creations for the festive season.
