Microcosm Care – Nurturing Subtle Life
07.10.2025 Open slots: 4
Engage in detailed, hands-on ecosystem work that nurtures the small but vital elements of the Sanctuary. Activities include soil care, seed-sowing, weeding, mulching, and enhancing micro-habitats, as well as observing and responding to the subtle needs within the microcosm. You’ll be caring for the tiny yet powerful elements that sustain the health and vitality of the larger ecosystem. Each session naturally weaves in practical learning that builds over time with the seasonal cycles, helping you connect with the land while contributing to its care. Microcosm Care combines purposeful activity, community connection, and reflection, offering a hands-on way to engage with the living web of the Sanctuary through practical work, observation, and ecosystem stewardship. Participants will enjoy a shared vegetarian/vegan lunch, featuring fresh produce from the garden. Please communicate any dietary requirements beforehand, and confirm or cancel your attendance at least one day in advance. Check for weather updates or cancellations on the morning of the class. connect@broomhill.nz
