Join us for hands-on, larger-scale activities that support the health and resilience of the Sanctuary. Activities include landscaping, lifting, pathway maintenance, habitat restoration, and other physically engaging projects in the Food Ecosystem at the Sloped Gardens and surrounding Macrocosm areas.
Each session naturally weaves in practical learning that builds over time with the seasonal cycles, helping you connect with the land while contributing to its care. Macrocosm Care combines purposeful activity, community connection, and reflection, offering a hands-on way to engage with the living web of the Sanctuary through practical work, observation, and ecosystem stewardship.
Participants will enjoy a shared vegetarian/vegan lunch, featuring fresh produce from the garden.
Please communicate any dietary requirements beforehand, and confirm or cancel your attendance at least one day in advance.
Check for weather updates or cancellations on the morning of the class.
